HALLOWEEN THEMED INSPO FOR SPOOKY SZN

While Halloween might be months away, there's no time like the present to start conjuring up some wickedly creative content for your spooky-themed shoots.

Whether you're planning ahead or looking to inject some Halloween spirit into your springtime sessions, we've got just the potion to get those creative cauldrons bubbling.

In this blog, we're serving up a bewitching array of Halloween-inspired product photography ideas guaranteed to spark your imagination and set your creativity on fire. From creepy clowns to wizardry wonders, we're giving you the tools you need to get ahead of the game and start brewing up some hauntingly beautiful shots.

HERE'S SOME SPOOKY IDEAS:

Here's a bunch of our Halloween content from last year and some insider information on how we created each!

1. Picture yourself in a graveyard setting, with fake grass underfoot and a foam tombstone as your centrepiece backdrop. Add a touch of eerie ambiance with dry ice fog and edit a fake moon in post production to hover overhead. With dark, mysterious lighting casting shadows, your spooky scene will have everyone dying to see more.

2. Get ready for a product portrait that's straight out of a horror movie with a Chucky-inspired twist. Splash some fake blood on your props, grab those creepy old toys, and let your lighting go wild playing around with coloured gels. This is one shot that'll have your audience on the edge of their seats.

3. Keeping things scarily simple with an orange Halloween colour scheme and our circle cut-out block. Backlight your product through the circle to create an enchanting glow, perfect for glass packaging that gleams. Play with different backdrops through the cut out or improve your editing skills for a monochrome colour scheme like this one that's to die for.

4. Set the table for an incredible banquet with props galore posing as eerie tablescape pieces. From jars of fake eyeballs to potions bubbling with dry ice, let your imagination run wild. Don't fret about budget constraints— a close-up hero shot can still capture all the creepy charm with half the props needed.

5. It's time to face your fears and create a creepy clown shot that's guaranteed to send shivers down spines. Smear some blood on your props for that extra touch of terror, and don't worry—clean-up is a breeze. Bonus points for putting on a clown costume yourself and getting into character!

6. Channel your inner Addams Family with a cocktail party fit for the supernatural. Fill glasses with orbeez and eyeball sweets, and let dry ice work it's magic. Spray-paint your props black for an easy, budget-friendly upgrade that'll set the scene effortlessly.

7. Cast a spell with a wizardry-inspired shelfie shot, complete with one of our very own brick backdrops and mystical props. Add a wave effect and perhaps a sparkle filter on your camera lense to enchant your audience and transport them to a world of magic. By reinventing a boring shelfie shot into pure sorcery you'll be sure to draw eyes!

8. Summon spirits with your very own Ouija board, paired with Propsyland props and a Halloween orange backdrop. Download our digital Ouija board from our website and personalise it for a truly bewitching shoot. Don't forget the black nail polish and a hand model moment to complete the shot.
