HOW WE REPURPOSED OUR CIRCLE PLATFORM PROPS TO CREATE A NEW SHELFIE SHOT!

Sick and tired of seeing the same shelfie shot over and over again? Well us too!

So we're reinventing the classic selfie shot using our circle platform bundle and some super glue!

HERE'S HOW:

STEP 1: CLEAN YOUR PROPS

Wipe down your Propsyland props to remove dust or dirt that may affect the adhesive process.

STEP 2: DESIGN YOUR SHELF

We chose various colours and sizes for our shelves as we only had 3 products to shoot. We found 7 circles was a great balance but customise this to your needs.

STEP 3: SUPERGLUE

Get stuck in with some good old trusty superglue. We got ours from a local arts and crafts store, but any you have lying around at home will do! Use firm pressure and hold for 15-30 seconds.

STEP 4: WAIT!

Leave your new shelfie creation to dry! We recommend waiting a full 12 hours before using it!

STEP 5: SHOOT AWAY

The next day, you're good to start shooting your reinvented shelfie shot with your products in place!

ALL YOU NEED FOR THIS SHOT IS ONE TRUSTY STROBE!

We love the Godox AD600 PRO strobes and found these have been a very reliable investment, however if you're on a tighter budget and don't have access to a strobe, direct sunlight can work a treat too!

For this image, we chose a harsh bare bulb lighting set-up, but you could always introduce a modifier for softer shadows depending on what products you are shooting and the desired lighting you want to achieve.

We also wanted short, sharp shadows so we placed our strobe in eye line with our products to achieve the desired lighting. Check out the BTS captured here
