HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHO ARE THE FACES BEHIND ALL THE WHIMSICAL WORLD OF PROPSYLAND?
We're Propsyland, but some may know us from our sibling business, Florence James Collective. We're a Brisbane-based content studio specialising in all things food, product photography, set design and video.
Our journey started over 6 years ago when ironically, Huzi and I (Jesse) met on a uber eats photoshoot.Turns out the best pick up line to win a girl over is to lie and tell them you have video skills...Because that's exactly how Huzi went from a semi pro tennis player to full time videographer, to now the owner of an Aussie prop business and studio.
Whilst we thoroughly enjoy creating all sorts of wonderful content for both local and international brands, we knew we had more to offer. So decided we would dip our toes into the world of e-commerce and created our own Prop and Backdrop business, Propsyland.
MEET JESSE
Meet Jesse, the big boss and visionary founder of both Propsyland and FJC. When she's not busy liaising with clients or executing her wild ideas, you'll find her happily immersed in the enchanting Propsyland collection within the studio walls.
And speaking of the studio, rumour has it that Jesse never leaves, so let's hope she takes a well-deserved holiday at some point (if we can convince her).
As the creative mastermind behind Propsyland and FJC, Jesse's ideas shape the creative direction of both brands. From conceptualising new content ideas to designing captivating products, her imaginative touch is evident in everything she creates.
MEET HUZI
Say hello to Huzi, the in-house comedian and finance guru! As one of the founding fathers of Propsyland and a director of FJC, his days are filled with a bustling schedule playing around with numbers, client calls and editing.
Huzi's warm and welcoming nature shines through as he joyfully embraces the opportunity to meet all our new clients. And amidst the laughter and finance wizardry, you'll often spot him somehow roped into yet another TikTok adventure by Lilya, revealing a side that secretly loves the spotlight!
MEET ALZINA
Introducing Alzina, the mystical maestro of Propsyland deliveries and the one who isn't too fond of being in front of the camera (ironic right?) With unwavering dedication and a sprinkle of enchantment, she ensures impeccable quality control of everything that leaves our Brisbane-based warehouse and upholds the highest standard of customer service.
Her kind and compassionate nature also includes the rare ability to humble even the mighty Huzi when needed.
MEET KYM
Allow us to introduce Kym, the unsung hero behind mesmerising shoot styling! With an impeccable eye for detail and an artistic vision that knows no bounds, she effortlessly orchestrates breathtaking shoot outcomes.
As for stress? Well, Kym keeps her cool like pro, making the rest of us wonder where she gets her secret stash of calmness. Trust us, everyone needs a Kym in their life!
MEET MADDIE
Meet Maddie, the spirited guardian of our social media realm and the queen of engagement! If you ever slide into our DMs, you can bet that Maddie will be your witty and charming companion. While she's a London girl at heart, we're on a mission to bring out her inner Aussie, one "G'day mate!" at a time.
When she's not busy crafting the perfect social media posts, you can find her delightfully lost in a rabbit hole of Pinterest pins, forever seeking inspiration.
MEET LIL
When she's not behind the camera, you can find her buzzing around the office, playfully engaging the team to be part of her next TikTok masterpiece.
Regularly seen rearranging our Milanote boards, Lilya orchestrates a symphony of organisation to keep us all inspired and on track!
